German packaging company Multivac has commenced operations in Pakistan, owing to the increase in overall food and beverage trade in Pakistan to $6bn during 2011. 

Multivac Middle East managing director Amir Sotoudeh said the company moves the market with new packaging solutions, individual consultation and better service.

Further, the company plans to aid Pakistan's food sector with better packaging facilities in ready-to-eat meal, fresh and frozen meat, seafood and bakery products sectors specifically.

The company makes equipment for fresh or processed food, sterile goods and other medical products packaging.
